Another long lost This Mistress photo found!

Here's another long lost This Mistress photo which I uncovered while sifting through a stack of negatives.  If it weren't for my cheesy smile, this would be a really good photo.  Especially classic is Kevin's peek at the camera over Tim's shoulder and Scott's manly chest hair.

This photo was taken at Long Pine Run Dam in Chambersburg, PA in early 1988 and features the original line up of This Mistress (from L to R) Tim Harrell, Kevin "Bart the Fart" Wilson, Matt "Scrap Pap" Skirpan, Scott McConnell, Brad Shaeffer, and Matt Norcross.

IUP Jazzmen (1988) Part 2

As promised in my previous IUP Jazzmen blog post, this video clip features my friend, Sam Gabud, on drums along with a young, mustachioed Matt Norcross on electric bass.  This Mark Taylor arrangement of Birdland by Weather Report was performed on 11/18/88 in Fisher Auditorium on the campus of Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Procession

Procession is an audio sculpture culled from Any Questions? - Darkness. This rare 1992 release offered an early glimpse into our Imbued Vagary project and an example of the synthetic tapestries that we would weave into our future film work.

Like the other songs from Darkness, this electronic soundscape invites the listener to follow me as I delve into my own dark psyche. Created during solitary late night recording sessions at FFS II, I would work through the night until the first rays of the dawn burned my skin. At that time, I would retreat until Darkness, once again, ruled the night.
