Book Library Part 2

In an earlier post, I showed you one side of the Book Library.  In this picture you'll see my 1970-1990 Topps Baseball, Football, Basketball, and Hockey card collections (in binders).  I also have some oddball card collections like 70's Wacky Packages, Star Wars, Charlie's Angels, and Kiss.  I even have a complete set of 1991 Desert Storm cards.

The bottom two shelves of the middle bookcase houses my roleplaying games.  Dungeons & Dragons books, adventures, playing aids, dice, etc.  I mainly played D&D but I was also into Gamma World, d20 Modern, and Call of Cthulhu.  Yeah, I had a lot of interests as a kid (and continues as an "adult kid").  I was a jock, musician, and geek (in no particular order) all rolled into one.

On the far right bookcase, I have my musical equipment manuals as well as music software, music theory and training books, etc.

On top of everything is my National Geographic magazine collection.

Miranda Sees the Bad Bad Pizza Man!

MC2P4 captured this clip of Miranda (circa 1998) as she catches sight of the notorious Bad Bad Pizza Man. The Bad Bad Pizza Man has been Miranda's arch enemy since birth and they continue to do battle until this very day (17+ years later).

You may be asking yourself, what does this have to do with FFS? Well, let's just say that if you don't know Miranda then you don't know FFS! That's OK though because Miranda (and FFS) like to make new friends.

Integration Sessions 2005

On 02/20/05, we (Any Questions?) began work at the old FFS on our new release, tentatively entitled Integration. By the end of the day, MC2P4, LTJTHC, and I had ending up laying down several song ideas. Everyone was happy with our progress and we were off to a good start on the project.

Up until this point, we had never captured much video of the behind-the-scenes recording process for any of our releases so we decided to break from the norm and capture all of the recording process for our Integration project. We ended up shooting video with multiple camcorders, recording all improv audio direct to 2-track CD-R as well as capturing it as MIDI data so we could go back later and edit/manipulate the performances as needed.

This video is a rough edit for one of the song ideas that we worked on that day.

So serious...

I just finished compiling our first round of score ideas for the upcoming Calabi-Yau LLC film called Cleric which will be distributed by Medicine Show Cinema. I believe that it is slated for a 2010 release date but be sure to check the Medicine Show Cinema web site for the latest details.

As you can see from the picture, I've done a little more work in the new FFS. I have finally finished unpacking the non-studio parts of the house so now I can dedicate all of my time to setting up the studio. If all goes well, I hope to have everything set up in time for a Halloween 2009 Open House/Grand Opening party. Keep checking this blog for the latest progress.
